The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is a wonderful resource of public health, family health, disease awareness, emergency preparedness and many state reports.
The Department of Aging protects the rights and quality of life of older persons in Maryland. To meet the needs of senior citizens, the Department administers programs throughout the State, primarily through local “area agencies” on aging. Area agencies administer State and federal funds for local senior citizen programs.
The Department of Health and Human Services has primary responsibility for the delivery of public health and human services that address the basic and critical needs of the county’s most vulnerable children, adults and seniors in Montgomery County.
